內容簡介
This new book takes forward Professor Moltmann's thought on the Trinity during the 1980s, following the publication of his classic study The Trinity and the Kingdom of God.
It begins with a survey of the doctrine of the Trinity today, which sees the main issues as being the social doctrine of the Trinity, gender and the Trinity, and the Trinity and the cross, and ends with a fascinating autobiographical retrospect, my theological career.
In between are two parts, 'On the History of the Trinity and The Trinitarian View of History. The first part includes discussions of God and patriarchalism, theodicy, Jesus Christ as brother, the Holy Spirit, and creation and ecology. The second part consists of a series of dialogues with famous theologians and philosophers, past and present: Joachim of Fiore, Thomas Aquinas, Giordano Bruno, Karl Rahner, Karl Barth and Ernst Bloch.
Throughout, Professor Moltmann never fails to enlighten and provoke, and in these pieces on a less epic scale his writing attains a new level of clarity and vigour.
