Christ in Eastern Christian Thought

This book presupposes that the reader is acquainted with the basic facts of civil and ecclesiastical history of the late Roman and the Byzantine Empires. These are easily accessible in standard reference works such as J. Danielou and H.I. Marrou, The Christian Centuries, I. The First Six Hundred Years (1964), or A. Sachmemann, The Historical Road of Eastern Orthodoxy (1963).
